1.- CREATION OF MODELS (embossing)
The possibility of creating original models allows us to work with a great
variety of prototypes from a model of a medal to a decorative door lock
for a library, to a commemorative plaque embossed in silver or an official
prize.
2.- MOULDS (using modelling clay)
Due to the different forms that the pieces can have, each one of them is
studied in depth prior to deciding the reproductive method, especially artists`
works, so that nothing impairs the work previously carried out by the sculptor
or designer. The materials used for the moulds vary according to the originals
and the methods of reproduction.
3.- WAXES (assembly of casting "tree")
These can be of many different types depending on the use we are going to
give then: and like the moulds they entail a previous study of what we are
going to reproduce. The final touches in wax are done by the author of the
piece and on these criteria together with our experience we obtain the optimum
results. The assembly of the casting "tree" with feeders and exit
channels is a delicate task where all necessary time is taken.
4.- WAXES
A piece done in wax (70 cm) Ready for casting.
5.- KILN
Kiln prepared with investment moulds.
6.- CASTING (crucible melting)
This is the most delicate step of the process. Each metal requires certain
temperatures that depend at the same time on the size of the piece, the
thickness and the position on the casting "tree". The pouring
of the metal is carried out using an acute vacuum, obtaining thereby very
defined textures with almost no porosity, using bronzes and metals guaranteed
with special alloys for every necessity.

7.- EXAMINING THE CASTING AND FINISHINGS (casting "trees"
and detailing on a jeweler`s bench)
Now we have the works in the final material and we proceed to the cleaning
and enhancing of textures. This task is carried out with great care, always
taking into account the approval of the artist and exactness to the original.
The possibility of engraving bronze and silver gives this workshop a special
character in which art and skill meet. The mastery of mechanized processes,
soldering and other techniques are the key to a finish of the highest quality.
8.- COLORING, PLATINGS, PATINAS, ENAMELS (giving patina)
The color of the metals is subject to many different techniques according
to the results we want to obtain both regarding patinas on bronze or metal
sculptures and enamels and polychromic works.
On pieces of jewelry, the high fired enamels, the cutting of shells, jet
ornaments, etc, are done by the skilled hands of our crafts people.
9.- RESTORATION (before and after)
The possibility to restore and replace works of art is one of our specialities,
applying our artistic criteria and assessed by experts, carrying out detailed
research, very useful in the world of antiques.
